You know how there’s that special kid that’s always your favorite from the moment she’s born? That if you had to choose just one goat to keep, no question about it, you’d choose her? Charlotte was THAT GOAT for me. She is the heart of our herd, with half of our does still coming from her line. During her lifetime, she gave us 9 does and 7 bucks, and she was never sick a day in her entire life. She was my dependable Grandma Goat and herd queen, and her last daughter, Imnaha AL Lady Corazon has taken her place now that Charlotte is gone.
Charlotte earned two Silver And two Bronze Merit Production Certificates from the International Nubian Breeders Association in 2018 and 2020. She would’ve also qualified for 2019, but her lactation went overtime and was not completed by the end of the year. She should be recognized in 2023 for her Lifetime Production Record, as well. It is noteworthy that her Sire SG +*B Woest-Hoeve Kingfisher earned Outstanding Sire Awards in 2016 and 2017, plus Kingfisher was an Elite Sire in 2017. Charlotte’s full sisters SG Imnaha King’s Lady Jane 11*M, and SG Imnaha King’s Lady Anne 11*M also earned Merit Production Awards as have several half-sisters, including SG Imnaha King’s Silver Belle 2*M, Blue Mantle Queen 1*M, and Blue Mantle Bella 1*M. Charlotte was shown only once as an Intermediate Kid, earning a First place and a Second place (2 rings) at the Union County Fair, La Grande, Oregon, in 2016.
