Imnaha Nubians is located near Imnaha in beautiful Northeastern Oregon on a small farm of roughly eleven acres. We raise our animals to be highly productive, with correct conformation and breed type, and to be beautiful, friendly, easy to handle individuals. Our Nubian dairy goats are top-quality stock, based on foundation animals coming from the Wingwood, Woest-Hoeve, and Grande Ronde Nubian herds. All of our goats are ADGA-registered purebreds. While we have a comparatively small herd, we aim for the very highest quality.
You may rest assured that any animal you purchase from us is G6S-free. The animals in our herd have either been tested directly, or their parents or grandparents have, so that we can offer this guarantee. We are always glad to furnish documentation of that status whenever selling animals. In addition, all of our bucks are DNA-typed in accordance with ADGA requirements, and we are in the process of determining the Alpha S1 Casein status of our herd. So far, we have A-, B-, and N- variants.
We participate in Performance Programs as offered by ADGA to prove our stock. Our herd has been on continuous DHIA test since late 2014. Our last whole herd Linear Appraisal was in 2019 pre-Covid, but we hope to do another Appraisal in the next year or two. At present, there is no LA scheduled for our area for 2026. Meanwhile, we continue getting more DNA information on all of our animals. While we greatly enjoy showing, we don’t do much of that anymore, due to limitations of time, money, and the great distance to nearby shows. When shown, our animals always perform well due to our insistence on correct conformation, as well as above average production.
