We offer driveway buck services to all our bucks at reasonable rates, since we don’t have the facilities for boarding. If this interests you, please contact us to set up an appointment for your doe. We recommend you contact your vet to obtain Lutalyze or Cdirs to assure they will be ready for breeding when they arrive. We offer one free return breeding if a doe doesn’t settle:

We reserve the right to retain any animal we choose, for any reason, regardless of reservation, or to cancel reservations on kids we do not feel are up to our standards. If this happens, you will be offered your choice of available kids, rolling over your reservation to the following year, or a refund of your deposit. We cannot guarantee the same matings will be offered the following year.

All sales are final. All animals are sold “as is” on the day of sale. We are not responsible for animals once they leave our care.

Our prices range from $400 for kids out of first fresheners or family-type milkers to $750 for kids out of our top animals who have proven themselves exceptional by earning milk production awards, outstanding Linear Appraisal scores (85 and above), Superior Genetics (SG) and/or ELITE designation, and/or show wins.

We require a $100 deposit to hold any animal we have for sale as soon as we receive your payment. We will notify you when your kid is born. If your reserved kid is not born, you will have the option to choose a different kid, to rollover your deposit to next year, or take a refund. We do not reserve kids by color, nor will we refund a deposit if a sale is cancelled simply because a kid isn’t the color you want. We allow 30 days from birth or date of sale for animals to be paid in full. If animals are not paid for in 30 days, we will cancel the sale and all money paid will be forfeited. All kids and sale animals should be picked up or transport arranged during this time. We charge $2 per day board for kids or sale animals that are paid for but not picked up after 30 days. We charge an extra $250 to raise kids to weaning (3 months), in which case we will not charge board until they are weaned.

If your check is returned for insufficient funds, the sale will be cancelled.

Kids sold to out-of-state buyers are required to have a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) by APHIS (USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service). Many states also require additional disease testing, such as for Brucellosis and Tuberculosis. We will arrange to have those tests done by our veterinarian, with the understanding that the buyer will reimburse us. We will provide a crate for shipping at cost, if needed. Those typically run $75-100. We can help facilitate transport and will do what we can to help. We do not deliver animals ourselves, though we can meet you or your transporter in La Grande, OR. Please be aware that we cannot arrange for air transport, since the closest airport is too far distant.

Sale does will be sold as bred does, once they have been confirmed bred. We typically confirm pregnancy via milk or blood tests 30 days minimum from breeding. Buyers should expect to pay an additional $100 over their regular sale price, if a sale doe is confirmed bred. These does must be transported before they are 4 months pregnant, however, since we have a sizable investment in their offspring by that point, plus it is not advisable to transport them after that time. We will provide all necessary documents for the new owner to register their kids.

Buck kids are available if they and their dams meet our requirements for vitality, conformation, and breed standards. Their dams must also have outstanding udders and corresponding production.

We offer unregistered newborn buck kids destined to be wethers for $50 apiece up to one month of age. These boys will be sold at market rates by live weight after 1 month old and banded at 2 months old. These bucklings may or may not be disbudded, since we do that at 2 weeks of age.

We do not sell horned kids. If that is important to you, you must pick them up before they are disbudded at 2 weeks of age.

Due to our remote location, we sadly do not have semen available from our bucks. We hope we can do that sometime in the future.
